Since its founding in 2008, CREEW has grown into a nationally recognized research and development organization dedicated to advancing knowledge, innovation, and capacity building across six thematic areas: Groundwater and Surface Water, River Basin and Ecosystems, Integrated Waste Management and Resource Recovery, Climate Change and Resilience, Green Energy, and Environmental Health and WASH. Over the past 17 years, we have organized 14 Groundwater Symposiums (National and Regional), supported more than 150+ researchers through the Research Grant Program (RGP) and Young Research Fellowship (YRF), trained nearly 100+ professionals in hydrological modeling and GIS, enhanced the capacity of 5000+ stakeholders, and implemented 35+ research and development initiatives in partnership with universities, government agencies, development partners, and communities at national and international levels. The groundwater symposium, RGP and YRF have been recognized as flagship programs. Through these efforts, we have strengthened evidence-based decision-making, promoted sustainable resource management, and nurtured the next generation of researchers and practitioners.
As we move forward, CREEW remains committed to generating knowledge, fostering innovation, and building partnerships that contribute to a resilient, sustainable, and water-secure future for Nepal and beyond.
